WHERE IS THE LEADERSHIP?
ANOTHER INSTANCE OF THE MAYOR FAILING TO INFORM THE CITIZENS OF OCEANPORT OF IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Since the Fort is situated in Oceanport, in fact approximately 419 acres of it, and the Mayor is on a committee at Fort Monmouth called the Fort Monmouth Reuse Committee (FMRC), I was just wondering when the Mayor was going to inform the residents of this training exercise.
She is frequently attending meetings there, however she never knew of this information? Who is the Town's liaison to the Fort?
Must be too busy doing all that "Good Work". (READ BELOW ARTICLE POSTED IN THE PRESS SATURDAY, 9-16-06)

Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes.
This is the same way we found out about the Builder's Remedy Lawsuit. Hey WHAT CAN YOU SAY BUT, "Good Job" once again.
Why wouldn't the Mayor or Borough clerk post updated information on the Borough's website.
Oh that's right, we have people employed by the town who have no technical computer skills or abilities to operate or maintain a very simplistic website.
Since they hired another person for the Administrative Office, don't you think it would have been a good idea to hire an individual with some website building computer skills. Well, obviously that did not occur.
Hey another "Good Job". Here is a noble idea. Send the Administrative personnel for training in this area and it may pay off in dividends.
Councilman Briscione was asked at a Council Meeting back in January 06 and during a Council Meeting in 05 about maintaining a Borough website to keep the citizens of Oceanport informed of important information directly effecting the town. This would also save thousands of taxpayer dollars eliminating the printing and mailing of the quarterly bulletin. Councilman Briscione responded in very simple terms " we are working on it".
Well eight months after mentioning this for the second time, still no updated website. NASA built the space shuttle in less time. Oh I almost forgot, "Good Job"
Then the governing body was asked to look into broadcasting the council meetings via Comcast cable into the homes of Oceanport residents, since many can not attend, due to disabilities and work schedules.
Also Councilman Briscione chairs the town's Cable Committee. Many, many towns have this already technology already in place and it has been a great success. Citizens can actually call right into the council meetings while they are in progress to ask questions of the Mayor and council during the public portion of the meeting.
In fact is it a great concept, but again the Democratic controlled town failed to negotiate a franchise with Comcast this pass year to include this option. Instead they are considering giving another 10 year franchise commitment without any perks or inviting any other company to the table to bid for the franchise.
Again "Good Job". I wonder what Comcast Cable promised the town to keep their Franchise. Now these are real hard facts Mike Douglas whoever you are.

FBI TRAINING EXERCISE Choppers, searchlights expected over fort Posted by the Asbury Park Press on 09/16/06 FORT MONMOUTH: Post authorities are warning residents of Eatontown and Tinton Falls that nighttime training exercises will be taking place on the base next week. Beginning Monday, residents may see helicopters with searchlights hovering over the fort, mainly in restricted areas, at night as the FBI conducts exercises designed to sharpen the agency's evidence collection and crime-scene processing skills. The training, which will continue until Friday, is a scheduled law enforcement activity and should not cause alarm, officials said.
